Città di Castello Hotel is among the oldest hotels in Umbria. It
was opened in 1895, and recently renewed respecting the original building
architecture. The hotel, former convent of Saint Francis Church and 15th
century palace, is located in a small square inside the historical centre
of Città di Castello.
Today the hotel maintains a perfect equilibrium between the elegant atmosphere,
created by old furniture and paintings, and modern facilities. The 47 Hotel
rooms can provide you the best service and comforts: private bathroom, some
with bathtub, air conditioning, satellite TV, radio, minibar, hair dryer
and direct telephone.
The atmosphere is enriched by a small picture collection of Alberto Burri,
an important master of contemporary art. In Albizzini Palace, few steps
away from the hotel, we find a big collection of his works.
The Hotel has a meeting room accommodating up to 100 persons, a breakfast
room, lift, room with a billiard, private parking and car box.

Places of interest
Città di Castello is a renaissance style city, situated in the northern
part of Umbria, near Tuscany. In the main Art Gallery of the city there
are works of Raffaello, Luca Signorelli, Ghirlandaio, Della Robbia, Vasari
and other painters of the renaissance period. Piero della Francesca works
of art can be admired in the near cities of San Sepolcro (were he was born),
Monterchi, Arezzo and Urbino.
Just outside the city walls, in the hilly countryside there are many medieval
villages. It is enjoyable to go for a walk, biking or horse riding around
these beautiful villages. (Bikes can be rented directly in the hotel; there
are several riding stables in the area). Very close to the hotel, just 10
minutes by car, there’s a brand-new 9 holes golf course.
Città di Castello is geographically located in a good position to visit
main places of interest in Umbria and Tuscany.
